Show of Animal Produce
The main interest of the document is the human relationship with livestock. To what extent do we perceive them as property, a mining machine or an attraction. I became a voyeur at fairgrounds, where exhibitions of cows, horses and other domesticated animals are organized mostly in post-communist architecture. The animals are transported from their pens and stables to the halls to admire everyone coming. They are becoming an object, scenery for a memorable photograph of a visit to an agronomic promotional event. My main motive was to create a distance from the scenes and capture the absurdity that tells exactly about our relationship to farm animals as machines.
